"Architecture 101" leaped the peak of 4 million.
According to the Korean Films Commission, "Architecture 101" recorded an accumulated number of 4,007,776 audiences in over 223 theaters.
Standing in tenth place of the Box Office after "The Avengers", "Dark Shadow", "Eunkyo" and "Korea", "Architecture 101" broke through 4 million in two months.
The movie with the highest number of views so far had been "Our Happy Time" starring Kang Dong-won and Lee Na-yeong in 2006. It was 3.13 million then and topped ranking all Korean mellow movies.
"Architecture 101" broke that and it keeps on going until now.
"Architecture 101" is a traditional mellow movie about first love. Unlike the usual prejudice of being boring and tedious, "Architecture 101" broke it and achieved success as well as good quality image.
