The Asian Film Market was again bustling in its second year although buyers tended to window-shop and take notes for later. A number of Korean films were picked up mainly for TV/DVD rights. Korean sales agent Cineclick Asia sealed a number of deals, selling all rights to Kim Ki-duk's "Breath" to Saudi Arabia-based Ghassan Production and Distribution for the Middle Eastern territories.
In a major deal, CJ Entertainment sold a four-feature package to buyer Splendid for Germany . Rights were sold for "West 32nd""",a high-profile feature set in New York and directed by Korean-Amercian "Michael Kang "",psychological-thriller "Black House""by Sin Tae-ra – a Korean-Japanese co-production "",medical-horror "Wide Awake" ("Return") by LEE Gyu-man, KIM Tae-kyung 's 2006 feature "Puzzle".
At the Pusan Promotion Plan pre-market, the top prize of US$20 000 in production support went to "11 Flowers"by China 's Wang Xiaoshuai. The Kodak Award of $20 000 in film stock went to Korea 's PARK Ki-bok for his project "Farewell". The Cineclick Asia award of $10 000 went to SONO Sion of Japan for "Room of Dreams". The Busan Film Commission presented an award of $10 000 to "Bi, Don't Be Afraid"by PHAN Dang Di. Finally, the Overseas Korean Foundation (OKF Fund) awarded $10 500 to Korean-American Michael Kang's "Sea of Tranquility".
