Hailed as a casting coup, The Bank Attack brings back the electrifying chemistry of Baek Yoon Shik (Tazza: The High Rollers) and Lee Moon Shik (Fly, Daddy, Fly, Mapado) from the 2003 caper classic The Big Swindle. Sparks fly high as the duo collaborates for the third time in their careers in this screwball comedy surrounding an outlandish bank robbery with three quirky perpetrators: a newbie bank robber, an old-timer thief, and a cop. First-time director Park Sang Joon hires a palatable line-up of supporting actors that includes Park Hyo Joon (A Dirty Carnival), Jung Kyung Ho (Femme Fatale), and Han Yeo Woon, who received numerous accolades for her dramatic performance in Radio Star, delivering some of the best comic moments in the film.

Not everybody can be a bank robber. Certainly not Bae Ki Roh (Lee Moon Shik) who has never harmed anyone or committed a crime in his entire life - until now. Holding a fruit knife in his quivering hand and wearing an awkward-looking mask, Ki Roh walks into the bank. But before he even gets a chance to flaunt his act, a real expert robber makes a racket, holding everyone hostage including Ki Roh. Enter detective Ku (Baek Yoon Shik), who convinces the police to let him negotiate a deal with the questionable robber. But little do the police know, Ku comes with a hidden agenda - to retrieve a secret document from the bank safe. Soon, three men, each with different agendas, are caught in the same mission.

이제껏 나쁜 짓 한 번 한적 없는 배기로는 아픈 딸을 살리기 위해 은행을 털기로 결심 한다. 어설픈 가면, 후들거리는 다리, 과도 칼 하나 달랑 들고 은행에 들어서지만 아니나 다를까 착한 남자 배기로의 무모한 한탕 시도는 어설프기 짝이 없고, 잠시 후 들이닥친 진.짜. 은행강도에게 도리어 기선을 제압 당하고 만다. 설상가상 수상한 생수배달원까지 가세하고.. 금방 끝날줄 알았던 그의 계획은 예상 밖의 상황들로 꼬이기 시작한다.

비리를 공모하던 은행 이사장의 죽음으로 구반장은 지금 당장 은행 속 비리문서를 빼내야만 하는 처지에 놓였다. 전문 금고털이범 도라이바를 생수배달원으로 가장시켜 긴급 투입하는데 하필이면 그 은행에 강도사건이 발생하고, 구반장의 상황도 난감하기 짝이 없다. 무력진압을 말리며 오늘따라 이상하게 적극적인 구반장은 급기야 강도들과 협상을 하겠다며 은행 안으로 들어간다. 서로 다른 속셈을 갖고 있지만 어느새 목표는 하나가 되어버린 사람들. 모.두.가. 털.어.야. 산.다.
