Blockade to be set up to protect nude actress

A nude play, "Sextheraphy" will be performed under a blockade to stop audience from jump onto the stage, said the play's agency, i-Convention. The agency made the decision after a 46-year-old male jumped onto the stage and hugged naked actress Lee Tam-mee, 23, in a theater in Daejeon last Thursday.

"Another actress experienced the similar incident during the play in Seoul. She was so perplexed that she could not continue to stand on the stage", said Lee.

Last December a middle-aged man rushed to hug actress Choi Jae-kyeong, 23. Choi quitted acting in the play and was subsequently replaced by Lee.

"We will take the utmost care so that the play would not be interrupted and our actress can be safe", said Kim Hyeon-ju, CEO of the i-Convention. He added that a blockade between a stage and audience seats will be built up.

The play is the story of a male professor who suffers from impotency. With the help of his female student, the professor recovers from the problem and goes back to his home. "Sextheraphy" was controversial due to all nudity of its actors and actresses.

The play will be performed until June 13 at Hongmyeong Art Hall, Daeheung-dong, Jung-gu.

알몸연극 '교수와 여제자'가 '여배우 보호장치'를 설치했다.

4일 저녁 대전 중구 대흥동 홍명아트홀 공연 도중 무대 위로 난입한 남자관객(46)이 전라의 '여제자' 이탐미(23)를 끌어안은 사고에 따른 후속조치다.

이탐미는 "서울 공연 때도 다른 여배우가 이런 사건으로 충격을 받아 도중에 하차하는 일이 있었다"며 당혹감을 감추지 못했다. 홍명아트홀 관계자는 "이러한 일이 재발해 공연이 중간에 멈춰지지 않도록 만전을 기하겠다"며 무대와 객석 사이에 가드레일을 세웠다.

13일까지 계속되는 연극은 발기불능으로 고심하던 주인공(교수)이 대학생(여제자)의 '노력'으로 기능을 회복, 아이러니하게도 가정으로 돌아간다는 내용이다. 극단 측은 "남편들이 부인에게조차 말 못하는 임포턴스라는 소재를 위트 있게 연극으로 표현해 중년남자의 성을 치유하는 섹스 테라피 연극"이라고 주장한다.
