KBS series "Bread, Love and Dreams" continued to lead the pack on weekly TV charts, taking the crown for the fifth consecutive week.
Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) and AGB Nielsen Media Research indicated that the baking drama scored ratings of 39.8 percent and 37.3 percent, respectively, during the week of July 26 to August 1.
"Bread, Love and Dreams", about the success story of baker Kim Tak-koo, has seen its ratings climb steadily since first airing on June 9, as well as maintain its hold atop the Wednesday and Thursday primetime lineup.
Meanwhile, MBC's historical series "Dong Yi" by famed producer Lee Byung-hoon of "Jewel in the Palace" held onto second place with ratings of 29.7 percent and 25 percent on each chart, respectively.
KBS2's weekend variety show "Happy Sunday" placed in the No. 3 spot with ratings of 22 percent on TNmS' chart and slightly lower ratings of 19.6 on AGB's poll.
