YesAsia Editorial Description

The devil is on the loose again!

Korea's latest horror blockbuster Bunshinsaba sends you a terrifying tale about a curse that threatens the lives of students in a high school of a small village. Let the evil atmosphere extend to your home video screen if you dare!

After Ujin (Lee Se-eun) moves from her old home in Seoul to the surroundings of an out-lying village, she becomes the victim of her new classmates of her new high school. Pledging to make them pay, Ujin refers to an evil curse called Bunshinsaba that kills everybody standing in the possessed girl's way ...

Ahn Bhung-ki earlier caught the viewers by the surprise with his shocking screen hits Nightmare and Phone and now after Bunshinsaba he has sent chills through the bones of cinema lovers for three times in a row. The talented director has already been invited to the international film festival in Pucheon. Fans of the horror genre are in for a treat as his new masterwork is the first Korean movie to be shot by means of the advanced Digital Inter-media technique which leads to amazing improvements as far as the colors and the screen atmosphere is concerned.

Bunshinsaba re-unites Ahn Bhung-ki with Nightmare actress Kim Gyu-ri who is joined by Bloody Beach's Lee Se-eun and new comer Lee Yu-ri. Ahn Bhung-ki's continuation of the horror wave has not gone unnoticed – super confident in the high standard of the talented director, a Japanese film studio bought the rights for a remake of his horror import for the captivating amount of US$ 3 million right after the film was completed.

導演︰安炳基
Director: Ahn Byung Ki

Yu-jin and her blind mother move to a small village from Seoul. On her first day at the new school, Yu-jin gets picked on by her classmates. Along with other victims of hatred, Yu-jin puts a curse on the four girls tormenting them through a Ouija Board. On her second day at school, one of the spellbound bursts into flames and dies just as she sits down where Yu-jin used the board. The next day, another victim burns to death, and now the school is enclosed by horror.
