Choi Ji-woo is starring in a Chinese drama called "City Women".
Her agency claimed, "Choi Ji-woo has been getting many love calls from Chinese dramas but she's decided to do "City Women" by director Li Wi-yen. She should leave for Beijing in early July".
This is her first Chinese drama in 9 years since the 2003 drama "101st Propose". This was a popular drama that was aired on Beijing TV and 30 others.
"City Women" is a love story behind a female CEO and a male rookie which will be aired on Chinese Wiseong TV.
Choi Ji-woo plays the CEO and Chinese star Cin Hao who was nominated three times for the grand prize.
Choi Ji-woo said, "I couldn't afford the time to go to China for a drama like the fans asked for but I want to do well in this one".
