The domestic animated film "
Robot Taekwon V" will return to Korean theaters on January 18th.
Released in 1976, the popular old-time film is known to have been lost in its original version but a copy was found at the Korean Film Council storehouse in 2003.
The council and film agency Shincine hired five thousand technicians to digitally restore
The Classic and the new digital version of Taekwon V was featured at last year's Pusan International Film Festival.
Next month's showing is the film's first theatrical engagement in 31 years.
During its first release, it attracted 180-thousand moviegoers in Seoul, becoming the second-biggest hit of 1976.
