Classic Korean films to go on YouTube

The Korean Film Archive (KOFA) has announced that it is partnering with Google to put 70 classic Korean films on YouTube this May. The free video-on-demand films, complete with English subtitles, will be available to stream at http://www.youtube.com/koreanfilm.

The line-up will span from Yun Yong-gyu's 1949 film "A Hometown in Heart" to Hong Sang-soo's 1996 debut feature "The Day a Pig Fell Into the Well". Seven of the 70 films will be available in HD, and subtitles in other languages will also be available through Google Translate.
