Controversy over Son Dam-bi's vocal capability

Son Dam-bi has been under fire for her vocal capabilities.

The 26-year-old female singer, who became popular with songs, "Crazy" and "Saturday Night", made a comeback with her new title track, "Queen", on SBS Inki Gayo (Popular Song) on July 11. She again proved herself as a sexy star through this performance.

As Son's performance with the MR-removed videos were posted online by a netizen, her vocal capabilities as a singer have been harshly criticized. MR (music recorded) should be played to help her singing, but she barely sang in the video with the MR removed.

"She needs to practice more on singing than dancing", a netizen said in reaction to her voice. "I don't know where she actually sang with MR", another netizen said.

Meanwhile, the singer had been suspected of plagiarizing part of a U.S. drama, "Alice", in her music video, Queen.



손담비 '퀸' MR제거 음원 실망 가창력논란

손담비가 가창력 논란으로 도마 위에 올랐다.

지난 8일 새 음반 'The Queen'(퀸)을 발표하고 성공적으로 컴백무대를 마친 손담비가 실망스러운 가창력으로 음악팬들의 질타를 받고 있다.

손담비는 11일 SBS '인기가요'에 출연해 신곡 '퀸'을 화려한 무대매너와 섹시함과 큐티함을 동시에 발산해 현장 관객들의 환호를 이끌어냈다.

하지만 같은 날 MR을 제거한 '퀸'의 음원이 공개되면서 가창력에 대한 논란이 일고 있다.

이 음원을 접한 네티즌들은 "안무연습보다 노래연습을 해야겠다", "그냥 들어도 기계음이 반 이상이다", "처음부터 노래는 큰 기대 없었다" 등 질타성 반응을 보이고 있다.

한편 손담비는 신곡 '퀸'의 뮤직비디오는 2부작 미국드라마 '앨리스' 속 일부 장면과 유사하다는 표절의혹을 받기도 했다.
