Culture Ministry Announces Media Policy Plans for 2011

Culture Minister Choung Byoung-gug held a meeting on Monday to announce the media policy plans for 2011.
He said the ministry aims to improve the media industry by boosting the competitiveness of news broadcasting, enhancing the quality of programs and increasing book sales.
The minister laid out several plans to achieve those goals, including working to create a fair society, providing financial support to produce high-quality programs and adapting to changes caused by the introduction of new technologies.
Representatives of several networks, including Arirang TV, attended the meeting.
