With direction and a script provided by Gong Jeong Shik, A Big Match is an uproarious tale of one unlucky man who tries his best to turn his wholly unsuccessful life around for good! This enjoyable film centers on the plight of one Gong Pil Du (Lee Moon Shik), a man recruited to the police academy for his athletic skills and achievements, in particular, his capturing of a bronze medal in wrestling. Since then, however, he has had a poor professional career as a detective, and his personal life isn't much better. He is the perennial bachelor, now some forty years old! Even worse, he's terrible with money and maintains a credit record that is anything but desirable.

Things get even more problematic when Pil Du's father is in need of some life-saving surgery, and, of course, the hapless detective is low on cash! In order to obtain the much-needed financing, Pil Du makes a deal with a notorious crime boss. Sadly, this turn of events only compounds Pil Du's problems even further, as he is now suspected by his peers as being a corrupt cop! To change his luck and prove his innocence, Pil Du hatches a scheme that involves staging a three-day brawl! Will his shenanigans prove successful or will things just get worse from here?     필두는 노총각 아들 뒷바라지에 솥뚜껑 운전 벗어날 줄 모르던 홀아버지가(변희봉) 쓰러지는 대형사고가 발생하자, 수술비를 마련하기 위해 군산 조직 No2. 태곤(김수로)로부터 만수파의 보스 ‘만수’를 물먹이자는 거절할 수 없는 제안을 받는다. 그러나 현장에서 필두를 기다린 것은 마약반 형사들. 태곤은 잠적하고 마약반 형사들은 마약반 소탕 대작전에 찬란한 이름 석자 ‘공필두’를 비리 형사로 당당히(?) 올리고 마는데……

    Well.... Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
    Not very impressed in this movie...considering Moon-sik is the usual comedian. In this film he turn out to be an average rough cop. Passing time?? This will do..otherwise, i suggest you just borrow.
