CJ Entertainment, international distributor of "Deranged" will present the promo reel of the blockbuster film at Cannes' Marché du Film, the film market held parallel to the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival that runs from 16 to 27 May 2012 in Cannes, France.
In addition to "Deranged", footage of other upcoming releases from CJ Entertainment - "Tower" (Korean Movie - 2011), "Soar into the Sun" (Korean Movie - 2011) and " Perfect Number" (Movie - 2012) will be shown in the 45-minute promotional preview. The screening will take place at STAR 4 theater at 7:30 pm on Saturday, 19th May, and at the LERINS 2 theater at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, 22nd May. It will be attended exclusively by participating distributors and buyers from all around the world.
Written and directed by renowned comedy scriptwriter Park Jeong-woo of "Attack the Gas Station!" (Movie, 1999) and "Kick the moon" (Movie, 2001), "Deranged" tells the story about the outbreak of virus-infected horsehair worms and a man's struggle to save his infected family. Kim Myeong-min and Kim Dong-wan among others, star in this 10 billion won film.
"Deranged" is a joint production by CJ Entertainment and Ozone Film Ltd Co. The movie was shot from November 2011 until February 2012 and is currently on post-production. It is scheduled to open in South Korean theaters on 12th July 2012.
