A government report forecasts social changes in the country by 2014.
The number of students receiving state subsidies for school meals is expected to reach two million within four years and the cultural contents industry is predicted to top 100 trillion won in revenue.
The Strategy and Finance Ministry has submitted to the National Assembly a national fiscal plan for 2010 through 2014.
The report says childcare service recipients will grow from 44 percent this year to more than 52 percent in 2014, and that of government-funded homes for the low-income class will triple in number. A combined 310-thousand such homes have been built this year.
The number of foreign tourists to Korea will reach 8.6 million this year and should hit 12 million by 2014.
The country will also export eight nuclear reactors next year and 16 more in 2014.
