Green Film Festival Underway in Seoul

Environment protection is one of the key issues of the 21st century, and from May 21 to 27, the Sixth Green Film Festival in Seoul will be held at CGV Sangam in western Seoul, showing 134 films from 36 countries.

The opening film is Korean documentary "Tears in the Arctic", which received a lot of attention after being aired on TV in December.

Ten long films and 12 short films are competing in the official competition selection. They include Finnish documentary "Recipes for Disaster" by John Webster, which portrays efforts by the Webster family to save fuel consumed in daily life; American film "Our Daily Bread", depicting people who live on food from the garbage cans on the streets of New York City; and Canadian documentary "Garbage! The Revolution Starts at Home" on the experiment of the McDonald family, who did not throw away any trash and kept it at home to see how rubbish produced in our daily life affects the environment.
