"Abandoned Pool"

There is something deeply disturbing and mesmerising about images of a dead place, of a place forgotten, abused, or discarded. This a great photoblog post of an abandoned pool by Seoul State of Mind, and it's the kind of place stories of all sorts can originate.

"Ceramic bowls and gnarled pine tree, Simsimheon House, Bukchon Hanok Village".

Just the one picture here from Robert Koehler, but it's stunning; his luring use of perspective, space, geometry and light draws the eye eagerly into the frame, and holds it there.
