Korean Weekend Box Office (2011.09-16~2011.09.19)

Kim Han-min's "Arrow, The Ultimate Weapon" has retaken its seat at the top of this week's chart. With a grand total of 6,589,663, the film is just under a million admissions short of being Korea's biggest film of year. Trailing only the current number one "Sunny - 2010".

Jeong Tae's "Marrying the Mafia IV - Family Ordeal" briefly held number one last week but found itself 46,000 admissions short of claiming its second week at the top. "Mr. Popper's Penguins" remains where it stood last week with near exactly the same number of admissions. Jim Carrey's latest film earned the interest of some 172,668 moviegoers to keep it at three. Kwak Gyeong-taek's "Pained" also remains in the same position but the Korean film finds itself less 54,000 admissions from the pervious weekend. "Pained" is based off the works of the webcomic illustrator Kang Full and this is the fifth adaptation of his work to the silver screen.

The 3D craze continues at eight with "Shark Night 3D" attracting 49,646 interested souls with its promise of gorging visuals and plenty of panic.  In the same vein "Final Destination 5" is at nine and with just 42,814 admissions "Hindsight" is this week's number ten.
