[HanCinema's News] "Concrete Utopia" Confirmed for Release in the United States

Lotte Entertainment and 815 Pictures have confirmed that "Concrete Utopia" will makes its debut in the United States on December 8th. South Korea's official submissions to the 2024 Academy Awards, "Concrete Utopia" stars Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon and Park Bo-young among others as residents of an apartment complex whose social order takes on drastic changes following a disastrous earthquake. Eom Tae-hwa won Best Director at the Blue Dragon Awards last week for the film.

"Concrete Utopia" had eleven nominations this year for the Blue Dragon Awards, although that was the only win. "Smugglers" ended up defeating it for Best Film. "Concrete Utopia" will open exclusively in New York City and Los Angeles theaters on December 8th, before expanding nationwide on December 15th. Theatrical locations in Chicago, Westbury, Oakdale, and St. Louis have been confirmed for the nationwide release.
