[HanCinema's News] "Extreme Job" to Appear Via Video on Demand Services

The big Korean movie of the winter finally becomes viewable in South Korean homes on March 13th. "Extreme Job" came out on January 23rd, but has been slow in reaching the secondary market because it was still making money in theaters.

This is a common trend. By way of comparison, "Race to Freedom: Um Bok Dong" is already available on demand, even though its theatrical release was on February 27th, just over a month later. There aren't fixed schedules, the relevant companies simply move films to the secondary market once they've maxed out on the first one.
In this case, the overpowering presence of Captain Marvel at the South Korean box office coupled with the already long delay in release has worked to secure "Extreme Job"'s appearance in the secondary market. The movie has been out so long it's likely some people may want to casually rewatch it.
"Extreme Job" is a comedy about a team of five narcotics officers who attempt to monitor a drug kingpin by running a fried chicken restaurant. It has secured over sixteen million theater admissions locally.
