The KBS entertainment show "Happy Together - Friends" has become the first domestic TV entertainment program to win an award at the New York TV Festival.
The show's producer, Kim Kwang-soo, received the award at the festival on Feb. 1 in Manhattan, New York.
Launched in 1957, the New York TV Festival is a world-renowned media event that awards TV programs in 12 categories, such as news, documentaries and entertainment.
"Happy Together - Friends" won the award for the episode featuring actress Jeon Won-joo, who located a schoolmate after 50 years through the program.
