Boy band Infinite's concert tickets sold out within 10 minutes of going on sale. According to CJ E&M, the agency behind the group, tickets for the band's concert next year were sold out 10 minutes after being released online on Dec. 14.
"Due to a sudden rush of fans logging online to purchase tickets, the server experienced a temporary slowdown. Thus technically, tickets were sold out within five minutes, setting a new record", CJ E&M said.
The band is due to perform for an audience of around 8,000 fans Feb. 11-12 at Seoul Olympic Park in Songpa District, eastern Seoul. The concert is titled Second Invasion and follows after the band's debut album, titled "First Invasion", released in 2010. Hit songs such as "Be Mine" and "Paradise" will be sung by the seven-member boy band. Critics say the sound of the band is reminiscent to that of the '90s British boy band Take That.
As well as being popular in Korea, Infinite's popularity is rising in Japan following the band's debut in November. The band released its first Japanese single "Before The Dawn" on Nov. 19, and the song landed at the seventh spot on the Oricon daily single chart. Most recently, the group released a romantic winter-themed song "Lately" in Korea on Dec. 6 and is currently busy promoting the song.
