The annual international fair of broadcasting and media content will open in COEX, southern Seoul, on Nov. 16 with some 4,000 media experts from around the world expected to attend.
Among the participants in the four-day Broadcast Worldwide (BCWW) 2005 are more than 200 VIP buyers from abroad, up 120 from last year. In particular, Buena Vista International TV's first appearance is expected to upgrade the status of the event as an international venue for trade festivals.
In addition, Egypt, Hungary, Russia, Denmark, Italy, India, and Jordan will debut this year, setting up booths to promote their wares covering TV programs, films, animation and new media material as well as sending buyers.
During the three-day fair, an international conference will also be held on the theme of "How will Convergence Shape the Contents of Tomorrow" to discuss the future environment of convergence policy, IPTV, DMB, mobile television and other news services and business aspects of the media industry.
