Actor Jang Dong-gun is returning to primetime TV drama after a 12-year absence. He decided to appear in a 20-episode weekend drama called "A Gentleman's Dignity", which is scheduled to air from May on SBS, said his management agency AM Entertainment.
This comes over a decade after the 40-year-old actor starred in MBC's "All About Eve" in 2000. According to the agency's press release, his upcoming drama is about the careers and love lives of urban professionals.
"The drama will portray in a sophisticated way the lives of men in their 40s, which have rarely been dealt with compared to other age groups", the agency said.
Jang shot to stardom by appearing in a series of soaps and gaining huge popularity specially among teens after his debut in 1992. But since 2000, he has concentrated on movies, with notable hits including "Friend", "Taegukgi" and the recently released "My Way".
