JANG Dong-gun Teams-up with Zhang Ziyi in Hollywood

Jang Dong-gun will be the next Korean actor to debut in Hollywood. He obtained a role in the upcoming Laundry Warrior and contract negotiations are expected to be wrapped up this month. JANG will play in this fantasy film opposite the Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. Newcomer LEE Seung-moo is attached to the project as the director.

"Laundry Warrior" is an international coproduction between Korea, China and the US. Chinese media reported about Zhang Ziyi's manager who said that crank-in is planned for May. The story will contain love, action and adventure.

Boram Film is the Korean party involved. Boram Film previously worked with Chinese and Hong Kong production companies on the films Seven Swords and A Battle of Wits. Matrix and Lord of the Rings producer Barrie Osborn is also attached to the project.

JANG Dong-kun is one of Korea's leading actors and enjoyed success with "Taegukgi" and "Friend". He also featured in the Korean Chinese co-production "The Promise".
