After news broke that Jang Hyeok was tapped to be the lead in the sequel to the hit drama "IRIS" (2009), Taewon Entertainment confirmed Wednesday that Jang and actress Lee Da-hae will indeed play the leads in the espionage-action drama to hit the airwaves next year.
Jang will play the role of team leader Yoo Gun at the National Security Service meanwhile Lee will play a team member with a professional pistol shooting background.
"Jang Hyeok will play the role of a man who embodies both a humanist and a cold and aloof professional. Meanwhile Lee Da-hae will play a woman who is naïve in her personal life but very much on top of her work", said a spokesperson for the production company.
Other actors to take part in the production are Oh Yeon-soo, Kim Min-jong and Lim Soo-hyang. Cast from its processor, Kim Young-cheol, Kim Seung-woo and Kim So-yeon will also take part in the continuing story line.
Rumor has it that Daniel Henney is also contemplating a proposal made to him to take part.
And as the prequel featured Big Bang's T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyeon), the second installment may also incorporate other idol singers with MBLAQ's Lee Joon and Beast's Yoon Doo-joon as well as KARA's Kang Ji-young tipped to make appearances.
