The late actress Jang Jin-yeong received a special prize posthumously during the 30th Blue Dragon Film Awards held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, Wednesday evening.
Jang, who died on Sept. 1, had a special relationship with the awards, winning the best actress prize in 2001 with "Sorum" and again in 2003 with "Singles".
Organizers said, "A special prize has been arranged to pay respect to the late actress. Jang's father and an official with her former agency received the award instead of her".
Jang died after a year-long battle with stomach cancer.

고 장진영이 2일 서울 여의도 KBS 홀에서 열린 제30회 청룡영화제 시상식에서 특별상을 수상했다.
고 장진영은 생전 청룡영화상 시상식에서 여우주연상을 두 차례 수상하는 등 청룡과 남다른 인연을 갖고 있다. 장진영은 2001년 영화 '소름'으로, 2003년 영화 '싱글즈'로 각각 여우주연상트로피를 품에 안았다.
청룡영화상 측은 "9월 안타깝게 세상을 떠난 장진영을 추모하는 의미에서 그녀를 위한 특별상을 마련했다"며 "이날 특별상은 고인을 대신해 장진영의 아버지와 소속사 관계자가 대리 수상하게 된다"고 밝혔다.
장진영은 1년 간 위암으로 투병생활을 한 뒤 사망했다.
