Japanese animation music composer Kanno Yoko, who wrote the music for famous anime films such as "Ghost in the Shell" and "Cowboy Bebop", will stage her first performance in Korea June 20 at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.
The concert will also feature singers Origa, Yamane Mai and Sakamoto Maaya, who sang the theme songs of famous Japanese anime films.
Yoko will personally conduct and perform melodies from the songs "Inner Universe" and "Blue ".
Yoko gained popularity in Korea after she wrote the background music for the online game "Ragnarok 2" in 2005. Recently, she gained more recognition for participating in writing music for a Korean movie starring actor Song Kang-ho.
Yoko says her concert will present an atmosphere of adventure and fantasy, and that she has prepared a surprise for the audience.
It will be her first concert since a performance she gave in Japan five years ago.
