Some 1,500 Japanese fans braved the pouring rain to attend the first anniversary of the death of Korean actor and singer Park Yong-ha at Yakcheon Temple in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, on Thursday.
Park's family and friends also attended the two-hour memorial service, as fans wearing white raincoats burned incense in honor of the late star. Many of the fans later visited a memorial park in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, where Park's body was laid to rest.
Park, who rose to fame after appearing in the hit TV soap "Winter Sonata", committed suicide last summer.
