The Jeon-Buk (North Jeolla province) Independent Film & Video Festival 2007 will be held Oct.23 to 26 at the Megabox theater in Jeonju city.
The Jeon-Buk Independent Film Association says the festival aims to showcase indie films in the region to boost the film industry and bring together artists and the audience.
The festival will introduce 46 films in a total in three categories: competitive, non-competitive and invited films, including the film "Milky Way Liberation Front", which was invited to the New Currents section at the recent Pusan International Film Festival.
The top award winner in the competitive section will receive one million won in production subsidies and 500,000 won worth of rights to use the Jeonju Public Media Center. The second place prize is 500,000 won in production aid.
