CJ defers investment in "Kwon Bob".
Actor Jo In-Seong's return could take a while.
His choice of return movie "Kwon Bob" is having difficulty gathering production fees. The country's greatest investment distributor CJ E&M movie department has decided to reconsider investing. The decisions were to be made by September but it's been more than a month but no result.
"Kwon Bob" is a major movie that requires 18 billion won. While Jo In-Seong confirmed to star in it, Lee Yeon-hee's addition made people anxious to see it. However, as CJ E&M show hesitation, the movie is set still.
An official said, "We can't say now that we are or aren't investing. It's still being looked over. We know "Kwon Bob" has been prepared for a long time so we are thinking this through and through".
While CJ E&M first decided to put down a hand in investment, the current failures in big movies has caused this steer in direction. This year's most looked forward to movie "Sector 7" finished off with results way below expected. A movie official said, "While the movie industry is experiencing depression, more movies with less expenditure and less effectiveness is rising more than high expenditure and high effectiveness. The success of "The Crucible" and "Sunny - 2010" are leading this kind of pattern.
"Kwon Bob" is done by Park Kwang-hyeon from "Welcome to Dongmakgol". A supporting agreement was signed with the city of Jeonju last August.
