Cho Seung-woo said, "I have wanted to appear in a major musical and I have always wanted to play a character like 'Zorro' as an actor". Musical star Cho Seung-woo revealed the reason why he had chosen "Zorro" for his next work on July 11. The original "Zorro" is the well-known novel entitled "The Mask of Zorro", and various movements such as air acrobatics, a fencing match, and flamenco dancing will be performed to add a latin atmosphere. Cho Seung-woo said during the production presentation, "As an actor, I have wanted to appear in a grand-scale musical, and I received an offer to appear in 'Zorro', and I truly wanted to appear in this work before I join the army".

"Zorro" was first performed at London's West End in 2008, and it will have its premiere in Korea at this time. Director David Swan, who directed the musical "Jekyll and Hyde", will be the director of "Zorro". Cho Seung-woo said, "When it comes to a premiere, I think it is not good to have a specific concept before we perform the work. Just like when we performed 'Jekyll and Hyde', we want to create together with the director, David Swan. When I appeared in the musical 'Myeongseong Hwanghu', the director Kolleen Park once told me that I would be very good for playing the role of 'Zorro'. I do not know how similar I am to Zorro, but actually it is true that I am a kind of righteous person (laugh)".

The setting of "Zorro" is California under the control of Spain in the 19th century, and "Zorro" and his old enemy named "Ramon" will have a confrontation while having a love triangle with "Luisa". Asked whether he likes a historical work, he gave a witty answer, saying, "I like a romantic story". He continued, "I have come to have a pounding heart when I listen to an old story or story about the past. If we had a time machine and I could go to either the past or the future, I would choose to go back to the past".

Actor Park Gun-hyung, who will also play "Zorro", revealed his own definition of being a hero, saying, "I do not think that there is a born hero. Guiding teenagers, who are smoking on the street, back to the right path is a something that a hero can do". His own definition of hero produced laughter in the audience.

"Zorro" will become an opening work at the musical theater "Blue Square", which will open in November. Director David Swan said, "I want that people do not classify characters simply into good and evil characters. I am planning to add additional music that was not in the original and I will edit the script to better describe characters for the Korean version of 'Zorro'."
