Actor Ju Ji-hoon, who recently gave up appearing in the musical "Doctor Zhivago" due to a vocal cord nodule, will appear in the movie "I Am a King". His agency Keyeast said on January 19, "Ju Ji-hoon has regularly been seeing a doctor since he decided to give up the appearance in the musical, and he has been agonizing over his next work in which to appear. He finally made a decision to appear in 'I Am a King' among those works that he had been considering from the time when he was discharged from the military".

"I Am a King" is the story of King Sejong when he ventured outside the palace after exchanging his position with a beggar to experience the real world before he took the throne. The director Jang Gyu-sung, who directed the movie "My Teacher, Mr. Kim", will direct the movie. Ju Ji-hoon will make his first appearance in a historical movie, and he will play the double role of the king and the beggar. The movie will begin filming from next month.

Ju Ji-hoon was cast as the protagonist of the musical "Doctor Zhivago" right after he was discharged from the army last year in November, but he had to give up his appearance due to a vocal fold nodule just ten days before the opening of the show. His agency said, "He has not yet recovered, but he has been in a hurry to decide on his next work, which will be his comeback appearance, in order to assuage his fans' concerns. He is doing everything possible to present a healthy appearance to his fans as quickly as he can".
