The group JYJ (Kim Jae-joong, Park Yoo-chun, and Kim Junsu) held a charity event at Yoyogi National Theater in Tokyo on June 7 to help earthquake victims, their agency C-Jes Entertainment (hereafter referred to as C-Jes) announced on June 8.

According to C-Jes, their two concerts with around 20,000 audience members were held as a part of their "JYJ World Tour", which they had already finished in other Asian countries and North America. But their concert in Japan was conducted as a charity concert by donating all net profits from the concert to help earthquake victims in Japan.

JYJ appeared without payment, and the production company of JYJ's concert in Japan would donate all the profits from the concert to the government of Japan for the recovery of damage due to the recent earthquake. C-Jes said, "JYJ's Japanese agency Avex had unilaterally announced the suspension of JYJ's activities in Japan last October, and this concert was the first time since last October that members of JYJ held a performance in front of their Japanese fans, so the concert was very meaningful to JYJ. JYJ could hold this concert thanks to their fans in Japan. We want you to regard this concert as their beginning of holding activities in Japan". An audience member named Yuko (37) said, "I could be very much encouraged thanks to JYJ as they were sincerely worried about earthquake recovery. We will also keep cheering for them". JYJ came back to Korea on June 8, and they closed their World tour concert by holding their last concert at Sajic Indoor Gymnasium in Busan from June 11 to 12.
