First we have K-pop superstars BIG BANG who's made yet another splash in Europe after taking home the "Best Fan" award at the "2012 MTV TRL Awards". Marking the finale to the awards ceremony, the "Best Fan" category is voted for by fans worldwide. BIG BANG knocked out fellow nominees like pop icon Avril Lavigne and high profile British boy band One Direction, becoming the first Asian artist to win the honor. Last year, the Korean boy group had already made their presence felt loud and clear to European fans by receiving the "Worldwide Act" award at the "2011 MTV Europe Music Awards". Lately, many Korean moviegoers have been thrilled by the local sightings of their favorite Hollywood celebrities. Movie starlet Jessica Alba made a surprise low-key visit to Seoul but still kept her fans up-to-date on her whereabouts by tweeting how much she was enjoying her stay.
Hollywood's favorite Will Smith who was also in town on May 7th to promote his latest film "Men in Black III" said he was deeply moved by a warm welcome from Korean fans. We hope to see more international stars fall in love with the country.

Jang Geun-seok will record the theme song for a Japanese animated film titled "Fairy Tale: Shaman of the Phoenix".
