Having already held a specialists panel on Sept. 6, KBC hopes to provide and complete a comprehensive policy on local terrestrial DMB service providers by October after this open panel, and select the service providers by the end of the year.
KBC had previously decided on March 31 that it is feasible to gather all regions, except the metropolitan areas, under a single local terrestrial DMB broadcasting zone. After being met with heavy resistance from service providers, the Commission is now considering the possibility of combining the single zone policy and the six-region policy.
