Veteran actor Kim In-moon who was suffering from cancer sparked his passion for acting until the very last minute.
At the age of 72, Kim In-moon did his last in the Seoul Dongguk University Hospital. He had cerebral infection in 2005 and had been struggling since but managed to complete the movie "Paradise Murdered", making a role model for many.
In 2008 Changsin University in Kyeongnam invited him to the theatrical department as the dean and he worked hard to train the upcoming generation. However, while shooting the 2010 movie "Poison Maker", bladder cancer was discovered and he had to go back to the hospital but showed his passion for the shoot until his very last breath.
Despite the fact that he was suffering from acquired disability from cerebral infection he made effort to train handicapped actors.
Director Lee Eun-kyeong from the Korean Disabled Actors Association said, "Kim In-moon established the Korean Association For Disabled Entertainers and "The Merry Trio" will be released on SBS this May. In this drama are students of the deceased actor Kang Min-hwi with the Down's syndrome and actress Gil Byeol-eun with the cerebral palsy as supporting roles.
The deceased debuted with the 1967 movie "Barefoot Glory" and was popular for the KBS 1TV "Love on the Jujube Tree" from 1990 to 2007.
His mortuary has been arranged at the Seoul Sinchon Severance Hospital. He has a wife and two sons. The funeral cortege leaves the residence on the 27th.
