Actress Kim Yunjin, who now stars in the popular American television drama "Lost", will return to local cinema. She has been cast in a new Korean film titled "Seven Days" (working title).

In the film, directed by Won Shin-yun of last year's violent drama "A Bloody Aria", Kim will play a lawyer and a mother. She has to prove the innocence of a man sentenced to death in a week to save her daughter.

Kim has had a sizeable fan base in Korea since she debuted in a local TV drama in 1996 and became popular for her role as a North Korean spy in the 1999 thriller "Shiri".

She shot to global stardom after starring in the hit U.S. TV drama series, but she has also starred in local films. It has been two years since her last local film "Bystanders" ("Diary of June") in 2005.

The bilingual actress is currently based in the United States, but will visit Seoul for the new film, which begins shooting in May for an autumn release.
