Korea Culture and Content Agency (KOCCA, CEO: Ko, Seok-Man) and Korea Eximbank (Chairman: Yang, Cheon-Sik) have joined hands for the promotion of the export of Korean cultural contents.
KOCCA and Korea Eximbank sealed an MOU for the promotion of the export of Korean cultural contents at the Cultural Contents Center in Sangam-dong on March 25, 2008.
According to the MOU, a new export model will be created by combining KOCCA's cultural-content projects, which are very promising for export purposes, with Korea Eximbank's export financing program. The two institutions will not only share information on the cultural-content export projects being supported by KOCCA but will also launch new projects that will connect the strategic projects and global animation projects being promoted by KOCCA to Korea Eximbank's export financing program. Furthermore, the two will cooperate in terms of marketing strategies, such as those relating to foreign economic information and networking, which are essential for advancement into the export market.
"With this MOU, the cultural-contents industry will obtain a certain amount of information and financing services, which we presently lack", said Ko, Seok-Man, CEO of KOCCA. "We expect that with the activated export of Korean cultural contents, the competitiveness of the country's cultural-contents industry, a future growth-driving industry, will be further consolidated".
