The first-ever joint film production between Korea and the US is being released in Korea this week.
The melodrama "Never Forever" has earned rave reviews here particularly from the women.

The much-awaited melodrama "Never Forever" has hit the big screen.
It's Korean-American director Gina Kim's first feature and sharpened by a unique blend of stars from Korea and Hollywood.
According to one film Web portal here, 82 percent of moviegoers who reserved tickets for it online were female.
"The film is about the emotional journey of an American woman who is married to a successful Korean-American lawyer. But they can't conceive so she starts a dangerous relationship with a poor immigrant in hopes of having a child, to save her marriage. Later, the relationship between the American and Korean immigrant develop into a true love".
Movie critics say the joint production between Korea's Now Film and Vox 3 in the US is popular among women because it shows that love equates to passion plus compassion, and the subject itself is relatively new to Korean audiences.
"'Never Forever' has received positive reviews from international audiences even before its domestic release. The film was screened at Sundance and other well-known film festivals worldwide. The melodrama has a combination of a strong storyline and strong imagery".
Director Kim said the focus of "Never Forever" is the desire of women.
"I wanted to show audiences that just because you are married doesn't necessarily mean that you can't have a second love. I hope many female audiences can relate to the story".
The director received some financial support from the state-run Korean Film Council part of a broad strategic move designed to help advance Korean movies into the American market.
"Never Forever" is Korea's first co-production with a US studio and critics say hopes are high that it will pave the way for more joint productions in the future.
