[HanCinema's Drama Review] "The Night Watchman's Journal" Episode 17

Apparently Sadam has the power to create evil clones from ghost toupees. Just when I think his abilities can't get any more bizarrely weird "The Night Watchman's Journal" finds more ways to make his wizardry absurd even in the context of magic ghost hunting. For what it's worth, I didn't actually mind the trick he pulled earlier on. It's nice to finally get the question clearly answered of why the heroes don't just murder him outright, although again, considering how many enemies he has with access to assassins I'm surprised this is the first time it's happened.

Speaking of assassins, that's apparently the new plot hook, although of the many attempts made here only one actually succeeds...More

[HanCinema's Drama Review] "My Secret Hotel" Episode 11

2014/09/29 | | Permalink

"Blade Man" is still cute as ever, but this episode came to almost a complete standstill in terms of plot development. Some background on Hong-bin and Tae-hee's relationship as well as on Hong-bin's selfish, conniving father made its way to the fore, but it was surrounded by fluff and a good bit of overacting.

The point of all the fluff was most definitely to bring Hong-bin and Se-dong closer, to use her kindness as the instigator for change in the gruff, literally prickly man...More
