Scenes of crying out after learning that Hye-rim is suffering terminal cancer

The May 17 episode of "My Too Perfect Sons" brought tears to the eyes of viewers as it became revealed that Kim Hye-rim (Choi Ji-na) is suffering from terminal cancer. Song Jin-pung (Son Hyeon-joo) told her husband Brutus (Cho Jin-woong) and sister-in-law Lee Soo-jin (Park Seon-yeong) about her illness, making them cry out in shock and sorrow.

Soo-jin repented of harsh words she had spoken to Hye-rim, and her childlike husband, unable to believe it, only sobbed.

Noticing that Soo-jin and Brutus acted differently from usual, Hye-rim said calmly but lightly, "See, you two should have been good to me. Why have you made so much trouble for me?" Then, she embraced them and cried, creating a heartbreaking scene.

Jin-pung, whose first love was Hye-rim, went to Hye-rim's house looking back the past, but he just collapsed in front of it in deep sadness.

Scenes where Eun-ji's mother and biological mother meet

An appearance of a new person has brought a new conflict in the KBS2 drama "My Too Perfect Sons". On the May 17 episode, the biological mother of Oh Eun-ji (Yoo Ha-na), who was thought to have died, appeared after 20 years, putting An Mun-suk, Eun-ji's mother, on edge.

Eun-ji was actually the daughter of Mun-suk's brother-in-law (younger brother of her husband), but she and her husband had raised her since her parents died in a car accident 20 years ago.

Meeting the biological mother, Mun-suk asked her not to let Eun-ji know about her. "Eun-ji should not know about you", she said. "She should not know that you are still alive and you should never meet her, if you do not want to shock her to death". But the biological mother responded, "Don't you think it's rather pitiful that one has to live for 20 years without knowing that her birth mother is alive".

The May 3 episode of KBS2's "My Too Perfect Sons" made viewers explode with laughter during scenes where Song Jin-pung (Son Hyeon-joo) imagines being married to his first love Kim Hye-rim (Choi Ji-na).

When Hye-rim came to Jin-pung's pharmacy with pancakes she made, he became jealous of her husband, Brutus Lee, and imagined himself being her husband.

In his imagination, Jin-pung acted exactly like Brutus, bathing their children and grilling beef for the family and having a good time with Hye-rim.

But soon coming back to reality, Jin-pung, with tears in his eyes, just had to watch Hye-rim turning her back on him as she returned home. This led him to imagine another sad situation that could have happened only in the 1970s.

"Welcome To Dongmakgol" wins best picture award

The movie "Welcome To Dongmakgol" has won the best picture award at this year's Korea Film Awards.

Hosted by actor Ahn Seong-gi and actress Song Yoon-ah, the 4th Korea Film Awards ceremony was held Dec. 4 from 6 p.m. for three hours at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul.

Aside from best picture, "Welcome to Dongmakgol" has also won the best director, best new director, best supporting actress, best writer and best music awards. The movie drew particular attention as its director, Park Kwang-hyeon, won two awards for his debut work, while its music director, Hisaishi Joe from Japan, was the first foreigner ever to win the best Korea Film music award.

The best lead actor and actress awards went to Hwang Jeong-min and Jeon Do-yeon for their roles in the movie "You are My Sunshine".
