Choi Min-soo has left for Hollywood!

He has been living in solitude since last April and last March he has left for America!

He has been casted for the new Hollywood action film, "Serpent Rising"!

Choi has left without informing a lot of his friends for this strong character as an agent.

Is is also known that he didn't even have an audition for this role for this casting.

Last February when he was given this role, he had said that it was not the time, however with a persuasive call from Hollywood staff, he has been handpicked as the Asian movie star!

Choi Min-soo's wife to host new show

June Kang, wife of Korean actor Choi Min-soo, fielded questions about her upcoming show and her family at a press conference in Seoul on Friday.

As the master of ceremonies for the new Arirang TV program "Diplomacy Lounge", Kang walked into the Seoul Plaza Hotel at 6 p.m. to give the press details on the upcoming show.

Throughout the conference, the topic deviated away from the show and to her husband. Though the press was asked to refrain from inquiring about Choi, a significant portion of the conference focused on the prominent actor.

Kang herself did not seem surprised by the interest in her spouse. Starting in late April, Choi has been receiving press for an alleged assault case, a lawsuit over performance wages and for his decision to live in the mountains.

"I feel a bit frustrated. You know my husband", said the 38-year-old, also known as Kang Joo-eun. "Solitude is his first friend. I am his second".

Kang Joo-eun Becomes Host of Arirang TV Program

Kang Joo-eun, the wife of actor Choi Min-soo, is to host Arirang TV's new talk show, 'Diplomacy Lounge'. The show, which will premier on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 10:30p.m., aims to interview foreign ambassadors and diplomatic services representatives in Korea about pending questions concerning Korea.

Co-hosting the show with Professor Shin Hyun-kook of Sungkyunkwan University, Kang has also worked as a university instructor at Kangnam University. She is currently serving as an active link between foreigners and Koreans as the trustee of the Overseas Development Cooperation at Seoul Foreign School, where she has been since 2003.

Kang, a former Miss Korea, married Choi Min-soo in 1994, a prominent actor in Korea with works such as 'Holiday' (2006). She entered the Miss Korea Contest in 1993 under the moniker Miss Canada. Kang was raised in Canada before coming to Korea 16 years ago.

Actor Choi Ordered to Compensate Production Firm

A Seoul court Thursday ruled actor Choi Min-soo to return 100 million won to a production company as well as pay 9 million won in damages.

A production company filed a suit earlier this year to get back the rest of a performance fee from Choi after the cancellation of the production of a television miniseries.

Choi was cast for a miniseries, "Hanggang" (Han River), and got a 200 million won performance fee in advance. But the two parties were placed in dispute as the production was cancelled.

Last November, they agreed that Choi would return 180 million won to the production company, with Choi keeping 20 million. But Choi has only paid back 100 million won and still owes 80 million won.
