Son Ye-jin & Kim Joo-hyeok's new film "My wife got married" will crank in on 10th

Actor Son Ye-jin and Kim Joo-hyeok's first cooperative film, "My wife got married" (Directed by Jeong Yoon-soo, Produced by Jupiter Film) held a traditional success ceremony before crank-in.

The ceremony was held on 4th, in the presence of main actor Son Ye-jin, Kim Joo hyeok, the director Jeong Yoon-soo and about 100 staffs.

The film "My wife got married" is based on an original novel, where an attractive character 'In-ah' argues to have two husbands. Already 9 out 10 people who have read the novel chose Son Ye-jin for the role of 'In-ah'. Many agree that this is a perfect customised casting for the role.

Many audiences place high expectation for Son Ye-jin's new transformation as well as toward Kim Joo-hyeok, who seem to be a sweet romanticist who will endure anything under the name of love.

Leading actress SON Ye-jin extends her roles of strong women with her latest Anaega Gyeorhonhaetta (English translation: my wife got married). JEONG Yoon-soo directs and KIM Joo-hyeok takes on the male leading role.

SON's character demands from KIM's character the right to have a second husband. The film is an adaptation of a novel. Filming started in February 2008.

SON is currently in cinemas as a confident gang leader in "Open City". KIM played in "Singles". JEONG directed last year's romantic film "Love Now" ("Changing Partners").

The film "Changing Partners", the English title of a recently released Korean DVD, examines the question, "Do you live with someone you love now?"
To read between the lines and put it more bluntly, the question it explores is really, "Are you married for money or love?"
In this case most Koreans are probably guilty as charged. At least that's the explanation for the 430,000 ticket buyers on the film's opening weekend in nationwide theaters.
If you married for love, perhaps there's no point in paying 8,000 won ($9) to watch a married couple in a scandal.
The film involves two young couples who are stable and bored. By meeting each other, they discover what has been missing in their own marriages.

[MOVIE REVIEW] Film explores bed hopping scandals

Cheating is a favorite topic for many filmmakers, and director Jeong Yoon-soo puts a double spin on the forbidden relationships in his latest film "Changing Partners" (Jigeum saranghaneun saram-gwa salgo isseumnikka?).

The Korean title, which translates into "Are you living with the person you love?" tells volumes about the movie's dominant theme. In some cases, people happen to find their soul mates after they already have gotten married, and this tricky development often jeopardizes the existing marital relationships.

"Changing Partners", however, does not attempt to justify cheating. Instead, it depicts a crisscrossed scandal where two couples get entangled in belated and illicit romantic relations.

Melodrama flick 'My Girl and I' less impressive than Japanese version

When watching the Japanese hit movie, "Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World", it's hard not to cry - sophisticated acting, a refined screenplay and a resonant theme combine to create a lasting impression. By contrast, when watching the Korean remake "My Girl and I", it's hard to cry.

Well, if you really want to cry watching the Korean version of the melodrama, it's probably safe to cry over the lower-than-expected quality of the movie itself, not because of some moving scenes that tug at your heartstrings.

"My Girl and I" features the well-known plot of an ill-fated couple. Su-ho (Cha Tae-hyeon) is a plain high school boy, and Su-eun (Song Hye-kyo) is a bright and beautiful girl in the same school. For some unknown reason, Su-eun has a crush on the boy, and for equally mysterious reasons she rescues Su-ho in the sea (though he doesn't know who actually saved him).
