There is a consistent rule in a daily dramas, especially in ones produced by major broadcaster KBS. The rule starts off with the existence of a certain type of female lead character who is poor with no family -- or one who is better off not having one at all -- but has a cheerful and sturdy personality. The producers of the 2007 hit drama "Thank You" have teamed up together for another drama for the family, "Who Are You - Drama"

This drama employs "spiritual possession", a popular idea which was also used in the 2006 drama "Come Back, Soon Ae" and the Japanese movie "Secret" (1999), in which spirits take control of a human body.

Director of the drama Sin Hyeon-chang explained the drama as human, fantastic, romantic and comical. "This is a family drama about recovering relationships", said Sin.
