What would happen if the first queen of our history, "Queen Seondeok" (Lee Yo-won) were to be the rival of the seductive, cunning and charismatic "Misil" (Ko Hyeon-jeong)? MBC's 48th Founding Anniversary Special drama "Queen Seon-deok" held a press conference on May 14th in the town of Kyung-Joo, the ancient capital city of Silla. This new drama is to restore the fascinating culture of Silla on screen, as well as to portray the bitter power rivalry between the ladies. Many of the cast including Ko Hyeon-jeong, Lee Yo-won, Park Ye-jin, Jo Min-ki, Eom Tae-woong, Kim Nam-gil, Dok-go Yeong-jae, Jeon No-min, Jeong Woong-in, and Yoo Seung-ho appeared at the conference. Park Hae-jin Goes to Africa for Goodwill Work

Actor Park Hae-jin, currently starring in MBC big-budget drama "East of Eden", will travel to Africa for goodwill work. Together with the members of the Korea Food for the Hungry International, an international Christian NGO in support of poverty relief, Park will visit Burkina Faso and Cote d'Ivore in West Africa from March 9th through 16th to take part in the medical volunteer program and meet with sponsored children.

Joining the trip will be Park's co-star in "East of Eden", Jo Min-ki. Cho plays the ruthless father of Park's character on the show. A longtime sponsor of African children, Jo had suggested that Park join him in the charity work, for Park was looking for ways to help out the less fortunate. Actor Song Seung-heon Cast in New MBC Drama 'East of Eden'

Actor Song Seung-heon will be returning to the small screen for the first time in five years through the brand new MBC drama series 'East of Eden'. Song, who is currently busy with the drama shoot, recently told reporters that he definitely feels the pressure of everyone's expectations over his comeback as he had been away for so long. At the same time, the hunky actor added that he is excited and confident about his upcoming role in the new drama series.

'East of Eden' is an epic 50-part drama series that begins in a mining village in the 1960s. The drama stars some of Korea's most celebrated actors including Lee Mi-sook, Yoo Dong-geun, Jo Min-ki, Han Ji-hye, Lee Da-hae, Yoon Jeong-hoon, Lee Yeon-hee and Park Hae-ji.
