KIM graduated from the Department of Cinema in Nihon University and later studied at Scenario Kenkyusho (Scenario Laboratory). He started his career in film as a cinematographer on < Red Ribbon> (1979), and since then he has worked with several Korean-Japanese directors on films including (1986) which was produced by Shohei IMMAMURA. He has won several awards, including the Kinema Junbo Awards and Mainich Movie Concour with < The River of Reconciliation> (1994) on which he was both director and cinematographer.
New Digital Festival Announces Line-Up 2007/07/03, Source, The inaugural Cinema Digital Seoul festival (CinDi) has announced a line-up of 40 titles, kicking off with David Lynch's DV epic, The Inland Empire on July 20th. The festival, sponsored by the CJ Culture Foundation and the Arts Council Korea, runs until July 27th at the CGV Apgujeong in Seoul.
