MBC - Bae Yong-joon, KBS - Choi Soo-jong, SBS - Kim Hee-ae and Park Shin-yang

'There had been no surprise'.

The winners of this year's Grand Prize of each broadcasting station's Drama Awards had been announced. The result can be summarised into following phrase, 'No surprise'. It is no exaggeration to say that one of the biggest topics of the year was the drama "The Legend" with its astonishing 40 billion-won production bill. It is the most expensive and large-scaled drama ever made in the history of Korean drama and evoked much concerns and worries before it was telecasted. However, the drama recorded more than 30% rating and many agreed that much of its credit should be given to Bae Yong-joon.

Of course, there is a degree of regret that Kim Myeong-min, who presented an outstanding charismatic performance in "White Tower", was only awarded the Best Actor of the Year. However, it was general agreement that Bae Yoon-joon did more than enough to be awarded the Grand Prize for h...

TV actress Kim Hee-ae was named as the best dresser of the year Wednesday in an event organized by Herald Dongah TV, a major cable television channel specializing in fashion and beauty.

Kim, one of the top-rated television actresses in Korea, won praise from the public for her excellent fashion choices in the hit TV drama "Naenamja-eui Yeoja" ("My Man's Woman). Demonstrating her exquisite fashion sense, the 40-year-old celebrity was dressed in white V-neck mini dress with a big gold-print ribbon on the front.

Meanwhile, the Fashion Icon Award went to actor Cha Seung-won and actress Son Ye-jin. Son was dressed in a gold satin dress with an eye-catching fur-print tote bag. Model-turned-actor Cha wore a modern version of the tuxedo, which highlighted his simple but sexy character.

This year's Best Fashion Designer Award went to Andre Kim, while Jung Yoon-ki, president of Intrend, received the Best Stylist Award.

'To wives, husbands' affairs are like a car accident ... They are by no means intended. They just happen'.

The latest drama by Kim Su-hyun, 64, one of Korea's top scriptwriters, seemed so realistic that women all across Korea began to suspect their husbands were cheating.
Her recent 24-episode work, "My Man's Woman", starring Kim Hee-ae, Bae Jong-ok and Kim Sang-joong, is about an extramarital love affair.
But in Kim's signature style, the drama was not predictable. "I didn't want this story to have a conventional ending", she said.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the last episode of the drama, on June 19, ranked first in overall viewership that day, attracting 37.6 percent of the people watching TV.
When asked about how she keeps viewers hooked until the last minute, Kim said, "Unlike other scripts with the same theme, I don't drag the stories on".
