A slick, Hollywood-style thriller will satisfy Kim Yoon-jin fans

A hotshot defense lawyer Yu Ji-yeon (Kim Yoon-jin, TV's "Lost") learns to her horror that someone has kidnapped her daughter. Instead of a ransom, the kidnapper demands that Ji-yeon defend a vicious rapist-murderer to an acquittal at an upcoming trial. She has only seven days to locate her daughter, or, conversely, prove that the prosecuted murderer is innocent.

The only help around is her thuggish cop friend (Park Hee-soon, "Boss X File", "Antarctic Journal"), while a corrupt prosecuting attorney (Jeong Dong-hwan) and the victim's headstrong mother (Kim Mi-sook, "Marathon") stand in her way.

"Seven Days" turned out to be the biggest box office draw in the fourth quarter of 2007 in Korea, enthusiastically embraced by the moviegoers, even though critical reaction was more ambivalent. Marathon Stalker Nabbed Again

Police have arrested a woman who has been stalking a popular actress for a record 17 years. Paju police in Gyeonggi Province said Wednesday the 39-year-old woman only identified as Kim was arrested on charges of stalking the actress Kim Mi-sook for 17 years and, in the latest instance, trying to blackmail her for W100 million (US$1=W932).

According to police, the stalker put a note on the actress' door on Aug. 10 that read, "Don't call me a stalker. You are asking for trouble by calling me that". On Aug. 17, Kim delivered a note through a guard to the actress demanding money. Kim was arrested on charges of threatening the actress four times last August after police followed the rather obvious lead of Kim's telephone and bank account numbers on the threatening note.

Kim Seon-ah Officially Casted In Movie "Girl Scouts"

Kim Seon-ah, who gained top star status after the success of the drama "My Lovely Sam Soon", has confirmed to appear in the movie "Girl Scouts" (by director Kim Sang Man).

After "My Lovely Sam Soon" ("My Name is Kim Sam-soon"), Kim Seon-ah said that she had agreed to appear in "Thursday's Child" last May. But even after the filming started last September, due to the change of directors and production problems, her agency had cancelled her contract with the movie. "Thursday's Child" is directed by director Won Sin-yeon of the movie "A Bloody Aria", and the movie was changed to "Seven Days" with a change in the theme. This movie had also casted Kim Yoon-jin and Kim Mi-sook.

Meanwhile, "Girl Scouts" is a movie with a comic touch and is a criminal drama. When the head of a credit union disappears with millions of dollars of the credit union's money, four women create a team called "Bong Chon Girl Scouts Troop #3" to recover the stolen money and chaos ensues.

Song Il-gook and Jang Jin-yeong to star in 12 billion won blockbuster 'Angel'

Song Il-gook of 'Jumong' and screen star Jang Jin-yeong were cast as the lead characters of the blockbuster SBS drama series 'Angel' with a budget of 12 billion won. The series which is scheduled to air in September will start filming in New York on the 21st.

The 24 episode 'Angel' draws the story of lobbyists who have a seemingly extravagant life but encounter the cruelties in achieving their purpose on the job. The love story will mix in to story line filled with international politics, black market weapon deals, and political conspiracies lobbyists are involved with.

Song Il-gook who has risen to national stardom through the series 'Jumong' will play Harry who matures through working in the military supply business. Jang Jin-yeong will be returning to the TV screen after focusing on movies since 2001 and will play the role of Maria who becomes a lobbyist to solve the mystery of her sister's death.
