  • [HanCinema's Film Review] "No Tears For The Dead"

    2014/06/20,
It's pretty telling that the film's main effective emotional moments make a lot more sense without any kind of context. Take Mo-kyeong (played by Kim Min-hee). She's in pain because of the death of her daughter and husband- especially the former, because Mo-kyeong feels guilty about not being a better parent. This is some strong melodrama here- being a good parent is really hard. Then we flash back to the main plot, and oh yeah, this is a story about assassins and brotherhood and laundered stock money and battles of honor and techno wizardry and, really, melodrama aside, the action here just gets increasingly and absurdly silly,...More

    2014/06/11, Source,
Jang Dong-gun's latest noir film "No Tears for the Dead" debuted at No. 5 in the local box office last weekend, but many filmgoers have commented on its striking resemblance to the 2010 thriller "The Man From Nowhere". But Jang, a 42-year-old veteran actor, asserts that his film has a "totally different style", though both movies were directed by Lee Jeong-beom. In the 116-minute story, Jang plays a killer named Gon who is traumatized because his mother left him when he was a child. When he accidentally kills a young girl, his boss forces him to murder her mother, Mo-gyung (Kim Min-hee), as well. To mark the release of Jang's first new film in three years, the JoongAng Ilbo sat down with the actor to talk about his 20 years of experience in the film industry,...More

I have seen Kim Min Hee in real while taking a new drama. She looks shy and bored somehow and she is too thin. Her appearance wasn't cute at all. Comments to me are welcome ^^
