Kim Min-jeong's injury could jeopardize her appearance as the lead actress in the TV soap "Hero - Drama", which is due to air Nov. 9 on MBC, Yonhap News reported Monday.

According to a staff member of the television series, Kim said she was considering leaving the cast.

"Kim felt responsible for the show and was determined to do whatever it would take to act, but her recovery rate is very slow and she is in a great deal of pain, and is facing a major dilemma", Kim's management agency was quoted as saying.

The makers of the TV series held a meeting over the weekend but have yet to reach a final decision.

"It's quite the predicament with the program slated to air in less than a week, but we're afraid of even bigger damages if we carry on shooting", said Kim's representative.

MBC's latest Wed-Thurs miniseries "Hero - Drama" (script by Park Ji-sook, directed by Kim Kyeong-hee-II & Lee Dong-yoon) to air on November 11 (Wed) has revealed its teaser poster.

The teaser poster revealed on the 27th (Tues) shows Lee Joon-ki peering furtively through the blinds along with the tagline "Reporter Jin Do-yeok's most exclusive scoop is coming your way!" It immediately captures attention and raises expectations about the upcoming escapades of Jin Do-yeok.

The character Jin Do-yeok works for a suspicious third-rate newspaper "Monday Seoul". Once he decides on a target, he'll follow leads to the ends of the earth, never hesitating to do spywork, tail people, infiltrate or go undercover. Actor Lee Joon-ki is up to the task to star in the new drama "Hero - Drama", which starts next month.

The 27-year-old has portrayed various roles in recent years, from a court jester ("The King and the Clown", 2005), national security agent ("Time Between Dog and Wolf - Drama", MBC, 2007) to a mysterious thief during the Joseon Kingdom period ("Iljimae", SBS, 2008).

"The characters I portrayed in the past were either energetic with a lot of action scenes or emotionally complicated and so I wanted to offer something lighter and fun", he said during a press conference at Melon AX Hall, northern Seoul.
